Far East Builder 遠東建築雜誌 All

"The living room and dining room are of ample proportions, but not so large as to complicate household duties or to present furnishing problems. The proper- tioning and grouping of these rooms enhance and supple-

ment the dimensions. The bedrooms, at first glance, may appear on the small side, but the provision of ample closet space to each room and the careful planning of window and door openings provide accommodation equivalent to rooms of far larger size.

"Each house has a garage conveniently placed with respect to the accessibility of the building and its relation to the approach road.

"The specifications have been drawn up to provide a uniform high quality of building. All windows are of steel sections of British manufacture, teak parquet flooring are provided throughout the main rooms and corridors, the bathroom and kitchen floors and dadoes are of high grade coloured terrazzo, and the terraces provided with warm red quarry tiles. The roofs of the buildings are of hollow tile reinforced concrete design so as to provide ample in- sulation against the heat of the sun. The average area of each bungalow comprises approximately 2,700 square feet."
