Recently completed in the Central District of Hong Kong was another modern office block. On a site of approximately 2700 square feet, located at the north-west corner of Wyndham Street and Wellington Street, "Wellington House" lies next to the South China Morning Post Building. The site.
The site was for many years occupied by a building, in which was printed the "China Mail.'
After allowance has been made for staircases, lifts, other public space and open area, there is rentable ac- commodation of about 1650 square feet on each floor.
From the south-east corner of the site, the two streets fall away allowing natural light to two shops in a semi- basement. The main entrance to the building on Wyndham Street leads down a short staircase to an arcade, and thence to the two lifts located in the approximate centre of the floor. Access to the two basement shops is from the arcade.
