FOUNTAIN FOR SUNG WONG
small fountain is to be built in the public garden at Sung Wong Toi Road in the Kowloon City area.
The garden is a very popular spot for both local residents and visitors as it contains a historic stone com- morating the flight of the last boy emperor of the Sung Dynasty in 1279. The stone was part of a huge boulder which had to be removed
from a small hill nearby to make way for the construction of the new Kai Tak airport.
The main basin of the fountain will be of granite with a central feature of bronze water lily leaves and carp fitted with water jets. It will be located in the centre of the garden in front of the ancient Sung Wong Toi rock,
