and around it needs no emphasis. It is likely that the higher level pėdes- trian ways in the Dockyard and on the Central Reclamation will be equally popular. particularly the waterfront promenade and the upper deck of the new Blake Pier.
Throuhout its deliberations the Town Planning Board were constant- ly aware that the success of the plan would be largely dependent on close attention being paid to its detailed
implementation, both in design and the co-ordination of engineering and building works.
To this end a committee of sur- veyors, architects and engineers has been set up in the Public Works Department. Some public works are already being carried out and the design of further works is in hand.
A model illustrating the form of development proposed, based on the approved plan, is on public exhibition
at the Crown Lands & Survey Office, 2nd floor, East Wing, Central Gov- ernment Offices, and may be inspect ed during normal office hours.
