The Ballroom viewed from the raised level carpeted bar with the glass sided band plat- form on the left. In the distance can be seen the large north window which overlooks the magnificent harbour. The floor is sprung and is composed of teak strips with steel tongues. The concrete hall from the choir stalls showing the upper side wall resonators faced in Okoume plywood.
The main staircase from the Ballroom circula- tion area. This area is covered in a carpet which consists of the background design of the main foyer carpet and therefore carries the colour theme of black and muted green throughout the circulation space.
Ground floor of the Concert Hall from the rear cross aisle adjacent to the exits. Note how the seat numbers are fixed to the top of the seat back facing the row which they serve.
