WILD TO Compass Theodolite ..

Small handy instrument. Used mainly for compass traversing, determination of ground control points in photogrammetry and on building yards.

Accuracy of circle readings 1 or 2o

Telescope with internal focusing and coated lenses. May be used either as builder's theodolite (fixed horizontal circle) or compass theodolite.

The compass - circle in the interior of the instru ment has a sapphire centre working on a conically ground needle-point, & carries a strongly-magnetised needle which orientates it to the North. By raising the circle off its needle - point it is automatically Fixed to the lower part, this converting the instru- ment into a theodolite proper with the great advan- tage of reading by coincidence - micrometer.
