On the ground floor are three classrooms for 40 students each; these are divided by folding parti- tions which allow them to be united into an assembly hall. Access is from an open corridor at the south of the building, which has at its east end a hall containing the main staircase and a teachers' common room, and at its west end a dining room, kitchen, boys' lavatory, staff lavatory, servants' quarters and the secondary staircase.
On the first floor are three more classrooms, a principal's room, girls' lavatories and teachers' quarters consisting of three bedrooms and an adjoining bathroom. Access to the accommodation on this floor is by means of a balcony.
Plans have been made for the addition of a third storey at some later date, similar in plan to the first floor.
The building stands above a fine large playground to the east, with a smaller playground just south of the school.
The cost of the building was $148,- 000 with an additional sum of $22,000 for the furniture and electrical fit- tings. Government has already paid $44,000 towards this cost and it is anticipated that an additional grant
