The main part of the project is a most unusual Y-shaped building, containing three apartments on each floor. The main apartment faces north and the two wings on either side of it north-east and north-west respectively, the apartments being designed so as to be completely isolated from one another, incapable of being overlooked by the occupants of any other apartment. The main feature of the three apartments lies in the huge living dining room combination which forms by far the larger proportion of the apartment. This huge area, in the case of the main apartment, is flanked by four bedrooms, two on each side. with a magnificent bathroom between each pair of bed-

rooms. The two smaller apartments have two bedrooms, each with a bathroom attached, placed on one side of the main central living room, the opposite side being occupied The main en- by an unusually large kitchen-cum-pantry. trance is placed at the centre of the building and leads on to a long corridor which gives access to the entrance of the apartments and the lift to the upper floors. On one side of this corridor lie the kitchen and two servants rooms for the main apartment, and the servants staircase. On the opposite side are placed the main staircase and lift, and a large servants' laundry and kitchen for all the apartments, while at the extreme end in the crotch of the "Y" are situated one servants room for each of the smaller apartments.

By no means the least interesting part of the project is the formalised garden arrangement, which is being laid out to fit into this upper terrace. One can only envy the future residents of these buildings who will be able to enjoy the splendid isolation of this magnificent location.
