The tower is finished in granite with artificial dressed stone coping and frame which divides the windows into sections. In the belfry, the top three sections of the win- dows, and openings in the two blank walls, have been fitted with glass louvers.
Emphasis has been laid on the west end to provide a "welcoming" entrance: this has been achieved mostly by an exaggeration of the size of the entrance itself by treating most of this wall as a unit and giv- ing the impression of one huge door. This part of the facade is enclosed by an artificial dressed stone frame, within which is a cement plaster finished surround laid out in squares and decorated with carved stone panels.
