They are both protected with paints based on Shell's famous EPIKOTE resin. All paints used in the sparkling new Queen Elizabeth Hospital were sup- plied by DURO - and a large proportion of these paints were based on Shell 'Epikote' resin. This long-lasting product is resistant to detergents, alkalis and chemicals normally used in hospitals or industry. Besides protecting, it resists corrosive agents and makes cleaning much easier.
