walls with interesting results.

The external aluminium sheathing has been designed to form a series of louvres both horizontal and ver tical. set in such a way as to prevent the sun striking the glazing at any time whilst permitting ample day- light to penetrate all parts of the building. Venetian blinds are thus not required.

The ground floor, like many other features of the building. is quite unique in Singapore, where space in the centre of the City is at a pre- mium, in that some three-quarters of the 12.000 sq.ft. floor area has been set aside as a carpark and as a beautifully laid out formal garden framed by marble walls. satin aluminium grilles and satin stainless steel columns.
