Tallest building on the Kowloon Peninsula at least for the time being is sixteen-storey Manson House at the corner of Nathan Road and Humphreys Avenue. It was designed by Messrs. Harriman Realty Co., Ltd., for the developers, Henry Fok Estates, Ltd. and incorporates the new leased premises of the Dairy Farm (from the founder of which it takes its name).
Built on an almost square site of over 10,000 square feet, the structure has its main vertical circulation cen- trally situated with gallery access to the upper flats, around the interior courtyard.
It consists of a three-storey horizon- tal block separated fron a vertical twelve-storey block by a somewhat recessed glass-panelled intervening floor. The main facade of the lower block faces Nathan Road while from the upper part of the building one looks southward over the harbour. Sunbreakers lend cool,
a
tropical look.
There is a basement mainly used for storage and machinery in connec- tion with the Dairy Farm.
