A "flying bucket Suspended Platform with its built-in water containers. The workmen get

into the handsome corrosion-resistant light metal gondola with their ample space for crew and equipment at a safe distance from the edge of the roof. Push button-controlled from the platform itself, it will move silently to any point of a façade: up, down, sidewise, around corners and outcrops, to and fro. They work in perfect safety. The many automatic mechanical and electrical safety devices on the hoisting and travelling gear eliminate operators' errors. The steel cables have a twenty-fold safety factor.■ Even while the building is still under construction, the equipment may be employed to convey material, fitting façade elements, etc., with the advantage of considerable savings in working time, material and costs. Hundreds of Mannesmann Suspended Platforms are at work every day, at home and abroad, safely and dependably. The illustration shows one of them operating at the Airport Building at Orly near Paris.
