IGGEST airport terminal build-

ing in the Far East. Hong Kong's Kai Tak airport building. which came into full use in the mid. dle of November, cost Over HK$16,000,000, is six storeys high, has a volume of 3.500,000 cubic feet, a ground floor area of 100,000 square feet, rests on 991 piles, con- tains 115 miles of electric wiring (not including electronic installa- tions, telephones etc.), has 13,200 square feet of plastic floor tiles, and its windows contain 68,000 square feet of glass, which would make a strip 13 feet wide by a mile. long.
