STANDARD REPELLEX, the perfect Colourless Waterproofing Compound, is also supplied in a Fungus and Rot Resistant Grade, which is slightly brown in colour. Both are invaluable for preven- ting the penetration of water on unpainted brick, cement, stone, synthetic stone surfaces and fabric materials.
REPELLEX does not form a film or coating, but penetrates without discolouring, and by its unique surface tension prevents water being drawn into the surface as a result of capillary attraction, On brick, cement, stone and synthetic stone apply two or three coats of REPELLEX, allowing 24 hours drying between each coat.
Before applying REPELLEX, cracks and joints must be made good with cement mortar.
REPELLEX may be applied with a clean paint brush and should be laid on and not brushed, as with paint.
Owing to the colourless nature and quick penetra- tion of REPELLEX, it is advisable to make a dis- tinguishing mark when leaving uncompleted work. Water and oil-bound water paints may be applied to REPELLEX treated surfaces, but not oil paints.
One gallon of the STANDARD or FUNGUS AND ROT RESISTANT REPELLEX will give a two- coat treatment to approx. 20 sq. yds. of average brick, stone or cement.
Canvas, cordage, unpainted fabric car hoods, um- brellas, blueprints, plans, printed and plain paper may be made water-resis ant with REPELLEX. Treated materials do not become sticky or lose flexibility. Weight and inflammability is not increased and articles may be safely stored in the usual manner. On average thickness of canvas one gallon will give a one-coat treatment to approx. 150 sq. ft. When dry, REPELLEX is NON-TOXIC and NON- OXIDISABLE and not injurious to tools or equip- ment. It is ideally applied by spraying on clothing and the like an atomiser used for the garden or insects will serve.
In cold weather crystals or a cloudy effect may appear in REPELLEX. If so, warm by standing container in hot water 30 feet away from fire.
Where mould or fungus have to be overcome the FUNGUS AND ROT-RESISTANT grade of REPELLEX is recommended. Clothing worn in snow country is water repellant when sprayed with STANDARD REPELLEX.
