Two illustrations of the main dining hall
tions, the main dining room being 60′0′′ X 60′0′′, with a private dining room and a bar lounge on either side of it, each being 20′0′′ X 60′0′′. The service section which includes kitchen, pastry room, food preparation room, stores, etc., is housed in an annex of which the compre hensive pantry forms the connecting link.
Along the whole frontage of the lot facing King's Road, and at right angles to the dining hall extends a
line of buildings in which are
situated the entrance hall, reception
office, the company's offices, a soda fountain and then the ladies' and gen-
tlemen's locker rooms with showers
and lavatories. These latter ameni-
ties extend in front of the swimming
pool section and are reserved for the convenience of its patrons.
The swimming pool, in which
chlorinated water is used, is 100'0"
X 50′0′′, of ample size for any competitions and galas which might be held there, which from the spectators' point of view certainly would be an improvement over existing facilities in the Colony for such occasions. A children's swimming pool, 20′0′′ × 50′0′′ and grading from 2′0′′ to 4′0′′ in depth, has also been provided.
The architect in charge of design and construction was Iu Tak Lam, Esq., and the General Contractors were
Messrs. Hang Tai Co.
