Far East Builder 遠東建築雜誌 All

The building is still in the plan- ning stage. The lay-out and site plan have been submitted to the Singapore Housing and Development Board for approval.

The building plan will be sub- mitted to the City Council after the Board has approved the site plan.

It is expected that piling work will begin early next year, and the building should be completed in about two years.

Original estimate for the structure is about M$1,000.000, but it will probably be around M$1,500,000.

Tenders will be called after the building plan has been approved.

The present Chamber building is about 70 years old and was once the residence of a wealthy Chinese merchant.
