Bangkok to get 11-storey office

Architect: Sowaj Pangsapa, A.M. (Stanford).

Situated in the heart of the fast- growing business centre of Bangkok, the Patpong office building is pro- bably the highest under construction in the ancient city. Of 11 storeys, its height from curb level will be 50 metres.

The ground floor will be given over to show rooms, an information bureau, an airline booking office, and gift shops,

Business offices will be housed on floors one to 11. The building will contain also a restaurant, cocktail lounge, and coffee shop.

The building will be served by three elevators, each with a capacity of 12 passengers.

Construction details

Framework: Prestressed reinforced concrete pile foundation; columns, beams, reinforced concrete. Floors: Prestressed double "T" reinforced concrete. Wall: Brick. Elevator hall: Concrete block.

The entire premises will have all-the- year-round air-conditioning.
