In order to develop the land to the best advantage, and yet not travene the conditions of the Crown lease, there will be only 13 houses comprising one detached and six pairs of semi-detached houses.

The houses have been planned to differ from each other alternately so as to provide privacy and variety. There will be all in all three types of houses. Each will have approximately

the same accommodation, as follows:

On the ground floor, a big sitting room with a verandah, separate din- ning room, spacious kitchen with separate pantry, guest lavatory, cloak room and stair hall.

On the first floor, three spacious bedrooms each with attached luxurious bathroom and roomy closets, a study

and box room.

On the basement floor will be one deep garage for two cars and two/

three servant rooms with their own

kitchen, lavatory, washing facilities, stores, drying and laundry spaces. The total floor area in each house is about 4,800 sq.ft.

While interiors will be modern in setting and decor, the exteriors will be in a reserved style with attractive red tile roofs and stone or brick fac- ing added at random to the plaster walls.

The houses will be ready for occupa- tion in June, 1960.
