Further along, and within the imposing base. compound, is a miniature rifle range which is similar to the one at the former headquarters in Lower Albert Road.

The new main building is two storeyed with reinforced concrete frame. The windows throughout are of steel and on the side of the lecture hall overlooking the parade ground is a long terrace with French windows opening out on to it.
