This section includes a parlour, living room, dining room, a study, bedrooms, the Crown Prinnce's special room, several au- xiliary rooms and a kitchen where the Crown Princess can prepare meals herself.

The interior of the rooms in the pri vate block is much simpler than in the public section, but the design is modern and an atmosphere of brightness pervades the rooms,

The office block is also of two- storeys with floor space totalling 1.378 square metres. It contains rooms for the official of the palace, a storehouse, kitchen. and electrical machinery room.

There is a garage of about 174 square metres adjoining this section

The banquet hall. The mural is by noted artist Kaii Higashiyama. The floor is of cherry board mosaic; walls are of cypress plywood; ceiling of perforated fibreboard; lights of cedar and glass, and posts and beams are covered with cloth.
