span, there is a full view of the sea approaches to Hong Kong's harbour and its area of 1.000 square feet gives ample room for all activities. It is cut off from the study and the dining room by walls pierced by steel framed opening windows set just over waist height. There is a

four-inch drop from the living room floor level to the verandah, access to which is by steel framed sliding glass doors of heavy section.

Normally in the warm weather these sliding doors and the windows to the dining room and the study

are kept open to receive the prevail-

ing winds. The draught is encourag- ed to other portions of the bungalow by means of louvre windows set high in the wall between the en- trance hall, the dining room and the study, and the doors between living room and entrance hall to drive are kept open.
