Composition: Exclusive plastic compound in a water vehicle. No bituminous or asbestos ingredients. Flashpoint: Nil. ● Method of applications Spray. Laid thickness: Optimum thickness 3/64". • Chemical hardening: Curing takes place in approximately 8 hours after application at 50 degrees F. or above. ● Bond: Self-bonding to most surfaces including concrete, brick, bitumen, ceramic tile, wood, metal and to itself. Bond is immediate and increases progressively from time of application reaching maximum strength in about 14 days. ● Membrane: Jointless and odourless. ● Elasticity and strength: When cured POLAPLEX provides a permanent, flexible and strong waterproof membrane capable of resisting normal expansion and contraction of substructure when proper joints are employed. ● Solar radiation: Unaffected. Aging: Non-aging and inert with indefinite life. ● Wearing qualities: Suitable for foot traffic without use of superimposed tiles, screed etc. • Colours: Green, Terracotta, Grey or Black.

NON-BITUMINOUS

POLAPLEX is spray applied by special equipment in two coats (each of a diffferent colour, final coat to client's choice) to a nominal thickness of 3/64′′ on to the roof sub-surface which generally is a steel floated smooth cement screed or slab laid to falls, swept clean and free of dust. POLAPLEX should not be applied to wet roofs, but may be safely applied to slightly damp surfaces. POLAPLEX can also be applied to other roof surfaces such as timber, metal etc. after suitable preparation as well as to gutters, downspouts, carpet and linoleum underlays etc.
