▲ The building is adorned externally by slim patterns of plaster.

The upper floors are divided into three wings, one for the teachers and laboratories, and the other two for classrooms. The lavatories are placed at the junction of the two wings for centralisation of plumbing and convenience of access. Rooms for specialist studies are located on the highest floors and are all fitted with the latest equipment.

The school has a special inter- communication system, joining all the classrooms to the principal's room, so that close supervision can be given.

Area of the College's site is 37,- 550 square feet; the building area is 15,000 square feet, giving a total floor area of 88,148

square feet. Cost was approximately $1,400.000.

Accommodation provided includes entrance hall, 36 class rooms, amphitheatre, covered playground, governors' room, principal's room, general office, three teachers' rooms, biology laboratory, physics labora- tory, general science laboratory, chemistry laboratory, library, geo- graphy rooms, music rooms, store rooms, clinic and two roof play- grounds.

Net result of the planning is the provision of a stimulating place of teaching and learning, one in which the actual cost of the building bears little relation to the amount of thought put into producing an cellent design.
