Nowadays, new buildings everywhere are being glazed with FLOAT GLASS. That's because increased production has made supplies of this new Pilkington glass readily available-when and where they're wanted.

FLOAT is acknowledged to be this century's greatest advance in glassmaking techniques. Devised and developed by Pilkingtons, it was perfected after a 7-year, £4 million project. It's a glass with a brilliant fire finish-plus perfectly parallel faces which give true clarity and undis- torted vision. Today, FLOAT GLASS is avail- able in thickness in sizes up to 98" x 175′′ through the usual trade channels. Always specify FLOAT for quality glazing-and be sure of getting it promptly.

HOW FLOAT IS MADE in the Float process the continuous ribbon of glass passes from the furnace to float on the surface of a moften metal at a controlled temperature. It emerges perfectly flat and distortion-free with a brilliant lustrous finish on both sides.
