The tallest block of flats in the District, a seven-story structure, has been partially completed on MacDonnell Road, one-half of which is now ready for occupation. Work con- tinues on the other half which is expected to be ready in about six months' time.
Each apartment contains a living room, dining room, three bedrooms with two bathrooms, complete with pantry, kitchen and servants' room. The garages, one for each flat, have been
set into the ground floor at street level.
The windows are Crittall Metal Windows supplied by Doȧ- well & Co., Ltd., the automatic lift was supplied and installed by Otis Elevator Company and all the electrical work done by Jardine Engineering Corporation.
The General Contractors are Messrs. Hsin Chong & Co., and the Architect, Mr. T. C. Yuen.
