The Glenealy Junior School nearby was opened shortly before the apart ments were ready for occupation. The conception of Mr. G. M. Davreux, manager of the Humphreys Estate & Finance Co., Ltd., the school is on a site made available to the Govern- ment under a free 20-years' lease by the company. Funds for the school building were donated by members of the British, Netherlands, American, Norwegian, Danish, Swiss, German, and Swedish communities.

"Friston," the larger apartment, comprising 10 flats over five floors, adjoins the French Consul's residence. "Balmacara" comprises six flats, on four floors.
Although the height of both build- ings was restricted to avoid obstruc tion to the view from flats on the upper end of Peak Road, they have been sited to take maximum advan- tage of the commanding outlook.
All the flats have three bedrooms, with built-in cupboards, master bed- room with balcony, two bathrooms.
