This exceptionally attractive sidence, which is of reinforced con- crete frame, has an essentially Spanish atmosphere and is a pleasant reminder of the affinity that exists between Spanish and Chinese architecture.

The approach road from the north leads to a port cochere which is front- ed by a sweeping lawn. From the port cochere one enters a spacious stair hall which gives access to the living and dining rooms, to the east, and study to the south.

The study looks out, to the south, on another lawn and a patio with a central fountain and wide terrace of stone flagging.

A sun room which occupies the south east corner features multi-colour interior decorations in the Chinese palace" manner, the ceiling being especially impressive.

Servants' and service quarters are located in the north east corner of the house.

On the first floor, the stair termin- ates in a stair hall which is so spacious that it can be used as a parlour.
