In the Bachelors' Mess for the Hong Kong & Shanghai Bank, which has been designed by Messrs. Leigh & Orange, the problem has been tackled by separating entirely the bedroom section from the public parts of the building. In point of fact. the main structure is three separate buildings, continuous and intercon- necting, with a servants' block en- tirely removed from the main build- ing.
