The clients expressed a wish for the building to resemble a block of flats as little as possible and further- more for the design both internally and externally to conform to the English Georgian country house style. The building is of reinforced concrete construction with brick panel walls dressed with precast artificial Portland stone and handpicked local made face bricks.
It contains six flats of five rooms each, with dining recess, living room, bathroom to each bedroom, hall, kitchen. pantry, servants' rooms and utility room. Garages are provided in the grounds. The bathrooms are finished in black, green and yellow glass tilling. Electric panel fires are provided in the living rooms, American sanitary fixtures are fitted throughout, and the kitchens are all electrically equipped.

Situated on Plantation Road with views of both the Harbour and south side of the Island, the house has been very carefully designed and orientated to take full advantage of what must be one of the finest locations on the Peak. The main rooms face south and south-easterly, and get the simultaneous benefit of breeze and view.
The house contains two flats each with hall, dining room, living room, three bedrooms with bathrooms attached, hot room, pantry, kitchen, utility room, servants' rooms and garages. The rooms are all of generous proportions.
