The finish of the house has been extremely well done as befits the class of work expected of the architects. The floors are of teak parquet, but instead of being laid directly on to the concrete floor slab, they are placed on a series of crossed battens which impart a springiness to the floor. The space between the underside of the parquet and con- crete slab is ingeniously ventilated. This type of floor was designed by Mr. G. G. Wood himself. The lighting and power is of the concealed conduit system and consists of a series of sockets along the base of the wall there being no projecting wall or suspended ceiling fittings whatsoever to disturb the feeling of neatness engendered by the clean lines of the design.
The architects were Messrs. Leigh & Orange, and the General Contractors Messrs. Tom Construction Co. window sections were supplied by Crittall..
