Jacks can be supplied with a large buttress thread formed on the ram, on which is screwed a locking ring, for use when the load is to be re- tained in a precise position for pro- longed periods.

To lift low-set loads a claw attach- ment is available, to fit over the ram cap and reach down to within less than 3" from the base level. This claw will lift approximately 2/5ths of the head load.
