In pursuance of their policy of expansion, Messrs. Andersen Meyer & Co. Ltd., subsidiary of International General Electric Company, Inc. of U.S.A. recently opened their well appointed and modern showroom on the ground floor of David House, 67-69 Des Voeux Road, Central.
Here the well known electrical appliances of General Electric that go to make life more convenient, economical and better, are attractively displayed, ranging from the the famous General Electric "Triple-Thrift" refrigerator to the humble household iron.
Spacious, well-lit and airy, this showroom, it is safe to predict, will become the headquarters for those seeking quality products.
The 1939 General Electric refrigerator combines features including "selective air conditions" making pos- sible for the first time in refrigeration history separate compartments for frozen, cold, general and 'crisp' storage.
The ingenuity of the vast organisation behind General Electric does not stop at the big things. It is to be seen in the radios, with the "Micro-Log" for accurate and speedy shortwave tuning, in the "Magic-Aire," a vacuum cleaner that is "all-purpose"-an absolute boom to the fastidious housewife who takes commendable pride in the cleanliness of her household. Coffee percolators, irons, waffle-makers, clocks, desk and ceiling fans, etc., all have that "something extra."
And to those who find the summer weather in Hong Kong trying, the Carrier Portable Air Conditioner will answer their need. Installed in the bedroom, restful sleep will be possible whatever the thermometer outside may read, in the office, greater efficiency to tackle pro- blems that crop up.
A visit to the showroom will well repay your effort. Here you will be courteously received and demonstrations of the G.E. quality products gladly given.
