Featuring a number of ultra-modern amenities and installations, Takshing House, 20 Des Voeux Road Central, is a recent addition to Hong Kong's ever-increasing number of imposing new business premises.
The old building, purchased by the Tak Shing Investment Co. Ltd. from Jardine, Matheson and Co. Ltd. in December 1951. was demolished in July of 1957, and piling preparatory to the erection of the present 17-storey building, was begun in October 1957.
The new Takshing House has a rentable area of 100,000 square feet and is centrally air-conditioned. The ground and first floors are for Japan Air Lines Co. Ltd. and Tai Yip Co. Ltd. The third floor is reserved for medical practitioners, while the offices of Tak Shing Invest- ment Co. Ltd. are on the 16th floor and the remaining floors house various offices. A penthouse will be used as a conference and recreation hall.
