THE PRESIDENTS' RESIDENCE
The residence for the Presidents is 3 very attractive two-storeyed structure, set into the foot of the gently sloping hill. side, with floor levels arranged as so to provide easy and pleasant access from the grounds and pathways around to the separate apartments on each floor.
The two floors are identical, each pro- viding a very nicely proportioned living and dining room combination separated by a folding/sliding door which, when open, in no way interferes with the impression of space given by the combined propor- tions of the two areas. The main aspect of the living room faces south and, on that side, windows extend the full length of the wall with french windows opening out onto a terrace on the ground floor, and onto a very spacious verandah on the
upper floor, Alongside the living room,
with access from the entrance hall, is a private study also with full length win- dows opening to the south.
There are three bedrooms on each floor, but a folding/sliding partition divides two in such a way as to make it possible to convert them into one big room if desired. Two bathrooms are conveniently located across the corridor from the bedrooms. A very large pantry and kitchen forin part of the amenities of each apartment, the door of the Kitchen opening onto a mul- ti-purpose room which leads through to the servants' quarters.
A garage at the
upper level provides parking space for
two cars.
The estimated cost of this structure is $73,500 for the building only.
