Accommodation.

The accommodation per unit will comprise:— Entrance lobby off the main stairs giving access to a spacious lounge. Dining room approached by an archway from the lounge. Two bedrooms with individual bathrooms approached by verandah access from the lounge. Generous built-in cupboards are to be provided.

The kitchen and quarters are compact and completely segregated from the residential accommodation and are externally approached by a servants staircase. The kitchen is well planned with ample fitments and will be provided with hot water, cooking by gas. Provision for A refrigerator has been made in the servery, giving access to the dining room. A novel feature of the design is the provision of a 'drying' verandah for laundering.

Syces quarters and additional garage accommodation, apart from the main blocks is being provided.

Special attention has been paid to orientation and to the question of one flat overlooking another.

It is expected that the flats will be ready for occupa- tion about the middle of next year.

R.C. frame building, three stories high with brick filled

panels.

Roof, flat of hollow tile and beam construction.

R.C. floors.

Teak covered floors in the residential portions, with mosaic tile floors to the bathrooms. Tiled dados to bathrooms and kitchens.

The bedrooms have been designed with a view to possible conversion for air-conditioning.
