Photographs from the Model of the proposed New Clubhouse to be erected at Fanling

At the extreme east of the building and adjacent to the new first tee, Old Course, will be the new professional's shop, with shelter for those about to play, on a lower level with access by steps to the tee and to the caddie master's shop, and the locker room-and the caddies will be on the lower level with a compound containing shelters for them.

Access will be on the north side, and an ample car park will be available on the north and north-west sides, covering the ground where the present men's Clubhouse and servants' quarters now are. All these will be de- molished, and the car park will not interfere in any way with the first hole of the New Course.

As regards the present garden rather less than half of that will be occupied by the new buildings, which still leave a pretty deep area available, and this will be extended towards the east. All the south side of the building has verandahs, and at least one of these, that to the men's lounge, will be arranged so that it can be opened or closed. All the trees at both ends of the garden must

go,

The building is on the whole straight, but on the south side the front is broken by a projecting staircase (enclosed) and verandah. The extreme west end falls back a bit from the main south front, and the S. W. corner is rounded off. On the north side, just beyond the main entrance a considerable arm juts out to the north (the main entrance is thus in an angle) and it is here that above the ladies dressing rooms, a number of double rooms are placed, and underneath and projecting beyond the dressing rooms are staff quarters, with a small yard, baths, dressing room, laundry and a small workshop.
