Two three-storeyed blocks of semi-detach- ed apartments were recently completed on N.K.I.L. 3948, a corner site at Nos. 40-46 Begonia Road, Kowloon, for the Begonia Co-Operative Building Society, Ltd.
Located on
an almost rectangular site of about 14,000 square feet, each of the two blocks contains six apartments. roof covered area of each flat is square feet, and the floor to measurement is 10'-o'.

The bath-rooms attached to master bed-
rooms are fitted with coloured sanitary fittings, with other bath-rooms and lava- tories having white fittings.
All kitchens are fitted with a sink com- plete with a teak draining board, a work- ing table and a wall cabinet.
Each bath-room is provided with a hot 1.560 and cold water supply from the mains and floor geysers, and gas cooking points have been
installed in all kitchens.

The planning is compact and thought out, the individual rooms however being of generous proportions for a project of this nature. Each of the twelve flats contains a living/dining room, three bed- dooms complete with built-in closets, two bath-rooms, а large kitchen, servant's room and lavatory, store and working area; а fair sized balcony is provided opening off the living room.
An open area, 27-9' by 144'-0", is provided in front of the building for use as a children's playground and car park.
The buildings are of reinforced concrete frame, supported on concrete piling. The floors of all main rooms are of " thick teak block flooring, while other rooms, including stairs, working areas and lob- bies, have mosaic tile flooring.
All entrance doors are of 2" thick solid teak, and internal doors are of the hollow core flush type with luan plywood facings.
Flushing water is obtained from two wells, seventy feet deep.
The electrical wiring is of the surface and meters type, with the main cables concealed in the walls. Two master radio antennage are each connected to six outlets.
