Longitudinal walls, behind the V-shaped, chiselled narra panelling are rockwool pads of different densities and with an 18 per cent open gap between the panels and the con- crete walls running horizontally from the rear wall to the proscenium. The rear wall surface is treated with medium density rockwool pads and covered with 18 per cent perforated narra panelboards.

Private dining room on the 14th floor
The orchestra pit is provided with an orchestra lift, adjustable to any elevation, and the stage portal after the proscenium is also adjustable to provide adequate masking for any re- quired size of entertainment. For live shows the portal is adjusted to fully- -open and hidden from view. The proscenium is accented with two wood-sculptured pillars to dramatise the stage as the 'life and the universe".
Contractors
The Lopez Building and Meralco Theatre cost approximately P48 mil- lion to construct and furnish. It has a total floor area of 336,174 sq.ft., including the theatre floor area of 53,764 sq.ft.
