First AIDSISA sugar mill also constructed by AG&P
The second raw sugar mill of Agro-Industrial Development Company of Silay-Saravia, Incorporated was recently constructed and is now in operation. The cost of the mill was approximately P46,000,000.
The plant was designed by Hitachi Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd. The General Contracting Division of AG&P constructed the plant on a turnkey basis with Marubeni-lida Co., Ltd. of Japan.
The machinery installed is for a new extraordinary process called the "diffuser" met- hod. The manufacturers of the machinery are Tacoma Boiler Manufacturing Co., Ltd.; Hitachi Shipbuilding and Engineering Co., Ltd.; and Shinko Electric Co., Ltd., all of Japan.
AG&P also constructed the first AIDSISA Sugar Mill in 1963.
