Cutting depths are 34 in. with a 12 in. blade, 44 in. with a 14 in. blade and 6 in. with an 18 in. blade. There are three models of the machine, with 30, 37 and 60 h.p. petrol engines.
LOADER
A new articulated loader, SAE- rated at 32 cu.yd. capacity, has been introduced by the Lima Division of Baldwin-Lima-Hamilton Corp., Lima, Ohio, USA.
Called the Model 140, it has several features aimed at improving operator
ing column is also adjustable. Shock- absorbing rubber insulation is provided to dampen vibration and to cushion cab, instruments and operator.
The machine has a turning radius of 19 ft. 10 in. with the bucket in carrying position. Its V-6 diesel engine develops 190 h.p. at 2,500 r.p.m. The front end of the loader articulates 80 degrees. Standard dumping height is 119 in.
BANK SLOPER
An 8 ft. (2,450 mm) hydraulic bank sloper, model HBS-C6, for all Euclid 82-30 and C6 tractors has been an- nounced by American Tractor Equip ment Corp. (Ateco), Oakland, Califor- nia, USA.
It is mounted on the left or right- hand edge of the dozer arm and permits full operator visibility from any work. ing position. Finger-tip hydraulic con- trols allow the operator to adjust the cutting angle from 221⁄2 degrees to 90 degrees for handling any slope ratio.
A curved blade with standard cut- ting edges pitches waste forward and down so that it feeds across the dozer blade for uniform, continuous trim- ming. When the tractor is used for ripping, dozing, or pushing, the sloper
is retractable to a vertical position out of the way of other equipment.
Brackets, valve and piping kits are available for fitting several tractors to take the sloper. Optional 2 ft. (610) mm) and 4 ft. (1220 mm) extensions are also available. Ateco equipment is distributed through Caterpillar dealers.
PLANT WASHER
The Golden Rod high pressure, twin-piston pump delivers 2 gallons a minute at 500 p.s.i., using cold water. Its trigger-action spray gun, with 24 in. extension, directs the cleaning power.
Two stainless steel orifice tips give a choice of a hard-hitting solid stream for cutting dirt loose or a powerful, flat spray for washing and rinsing clean.

A three-way valve allows instant switching from cleaning solution to rinse water. The pump is powered by ah.p. motor with automatic over- load protection.
Guiterman Co. Inc.,95 Broad Street, New York, USA, market the Golden Rod. Sales representatives include Mac International Co., Manila; N.N. Kaye, Singapore; and Peter Mann Taiwan Ltd., Taipei.
VIBRATORY ROLLER
The Dynapac CH 60, a towed 12.5 ton vibratory roller from Vibro-Verken, Solna, Sweden, is claimed to be the most powerful roller of its type. The drum width is 2,080 mm (82 in.) and
