ADHESIVE TAPE

Polythene Outdoor Mask 1415 is the latest addition to the range of ad- hesive tapes made by Sellotape Pro- ducts Ltd., 54-58 High Street, Edg- ware, Middx., UK. It is for the protec tion of stainless steel and aluminium components during storage, transport and work on site.

The tape consists of a 0.10 mm thick black polythene film coated with a transparent rubber/resin adhesive. It can be applied by hand or machine and gives protection for up to two

are available. Both allow easy two-way passage. The concealed operator re- places the transom member of the door frame, putting the operator out

RELEASE AGENT

Toby Form Coating is a new con- crete release formula which reacts with the alkali in the concrete water to pro- duce a barrier for release.

It can be used for wood, fibreglass or steel framework, or for cleaning concrete equipment. It is also suitable for use in off-form architectural con- crete and the protection of aluminium window frames and doors.

The coating is a solution of fatty wood derivatives in a light clear hydro- carbon carrier. It is a clear amber fluid that remains fluid even at sub-zero temperatures.

Coverage is 1000 to 3000 sq.ft. per gallon on steel and non-porous forms and 800 to 1200 sq.ft. per gallon on wood. Wood forms are reported to last longer because the coating goes into

of sight and giving it an appearance of the surface, will not wash off and suc- being part of the door frame.

A visible operator can be mounted directly on either side of the door header with a 6in. transom space with no doorway alterations necessary. Both types of operator can provide clockwise or counter-clockwise, swing- out or swing-in doorway automation to fit a variety of pedestrian traffic situations.

The Monopack is a ready-to-install unit with a 14 h.p., 3450 r.p.m., high- torque electric

electric motor, hydraulic pump/accumulator, control panel and operator mechanism contained in a single, compact aluminium header case. It requires 115 volts, 60 cycles, single phase, 15 amp service, with starting at 13 amps and operating at 3.5 amps.

The automated door opens under years; the black film screens the ad- adjustable speed hydraulic power and hesive from ultra-violet light.

Rolls of 100 metres are available on 76 mm diameter cores, in stock widths of 25, 50, 75 and 100 mm.

Sellotape agents include Wiggins Teape Ltd. of Hong Kong, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur; F. Abbas of Bang- kok; and Galaxy Import & Export Co., Manila.

DOOR OPERATOR

Virtually any type of swinging door weighing up to 150 lb. and 30 to 44 in. wide can be fitted with the new Stanley Monopack electric operator. Concealed and visible mountings

closes under position spring power. The electric motor is used only for opening the door and automatically controlled positive spring power holds the door open and closes it smoothly.

Separate speed and checking con- trol adjustments are designed into the opening and closing cycles to maintain positive opening and closing action and to prevent slamming. A special 'hold-open' control permits the door to remain open when required and a built-in adjustable emergency release permits an 'in-swinging' door to 'open out' during emergency such as power failure.

cessive uses make the wood water- proof.

NAILING MACHINES

Two new nailing machines, the In- dustria PN 16 K and the PNK 5030 air tacker, have cast magnesium-alloy bodies and make use of a 55 to 85 p.s.i. air supply.

The PN 16 K fires headless pins in lengths of 15 to 30 mm. It has a built-

in safety device to prevent it from be- ing fired until the nose has come into contact with the workpiece. Standard equipment includes a slide-out, bot- tom-loading magazine with a capacity of 90 pins, which are loaded in strips. It is suitable for close pinning of mor- tice and tenon joints, and can counter- sink pins if required. Air consumption

is 1.75 c.f.m.
