The secondary staircase, toilets, utility areas, stores, and penthouse kitchen are tiled with mosaic, while the bed- rooms. dining-cum-lounge in the pent- house are finished with Siamese teak parquet and the basement floors have a granolithic finish. The air-condi- tioning plant and service rooms are cement rendered.

The soffit to the podium over the public footway is of fluted aluminium and the ceilings over the banking hall and mezzanine floor are of Siamese teak. Part of the ceiling in the dining- cum-lounge of the penthouse is also finished with Siamese teak, wax polished.

Illuminated ceilings accentuate the entrance foyer, manager's and com- pradore's offices, part of the accounts department and lift halls. The offices have a diamond pattern accoustic wood fibre ceiling. With the excep- tion of the safe deposit room, which has an Acousti-tex ceiling, the rest of the ceilings in the building are plaster- ed and painted.
