the grouping laboratory. Here it is labelled by groups and then stored, first in the initial blood store and then in the final blood store, from which it is eventually issued to hospitals.

Blood issue to the General Hospital on a 24-hour basis will be via the supervisors office: blood issue to other hospitals will be via the outstation dis-

patch area opening off the servi yard, which provides parking for th centre's vehicles and mobile collectic

unit.

Processing

The blood processing and resear functions of the building cent! around the serum laboratory, pouri: rooms and cold rooms on the grouil floor and the plasma fractionatio laboratory, freeze drier room and ani natal laboratory on the first floor.
