Thai elegance captured

in Bangkok Sheraton design

IN fabrics, furniture and fashion there is a distinctive elegance to Thai design that gives it a unique place in the world. To capture something of this elegance in the decor of a large inter- national hotel is not a task to be taken lightly.

While the international traveller will appreciate an atmosphere reflec- tive of the region in which he tem- porarily resides, local aesthetes will be offended by pale copies of traditional craftsmanship or a massive overdose of local artefacts.
