suring 250 yd. long by 2%, 3 or 4 in. wide for originals measuring 5, 6 and 8 in. wide respectively.

Each reel makes approx. 2,000 separate copies which can either be cut and filed individually in standard card files or left in roll form and stored that way. The machine operates at a speed of 3 in. per sec. (equivalent to eighteen 8 by 10 in. originals every minute) and accepts originals up to 9 in. wide, although its actual scanning width is 8 in.

Each Copygraph machine incor- porates two 500 w. tungsten iodide tubes, for scanning and exposure, and a toner magazine. capable of holding up to 21⁄2 lb. of toner powder. The control panel, situated on top of the machine, houses an on/off switch, a pilot light, a three-position contrast control for normal, faint and dark originals, and a paper-transport but- ton for advancing the last copy to the tear-off position.
