HITACHI SEE-THROUGH ESCALATORS CHOSEN FOR BUILDINGS IN HONG KONG

For the past few years Hitachi has received a steady stream of orders for the Crystalator. This is a particularly ultra-modern escalator with sides con- structed of transparent tempered glass. The installation for this particular model has been received from a variety of modern theatres, department stores and a leading bank, all in down-town Hong Kong.

The interior panels of the Hitachi Crystalator Type T-N are best suited

for department stores and modern buildings. In this type, milky acryl sheets with slim line illumination from the inside are used as interior panels in the area of the upper alighting part. But, the Type T-NN is completely transparent with tempered glass used throughout the balustrade. Both these types not only offer maximum operat- ing characteristics but, add consider- ably more than any other escalator in their aesthetic appearance and quality

to blend tastefully with the modern building of today.
