venience of services. Full carpeting is provided, not only to give a feeling of luxury but because it is easy to clean. Vinyl wallpaper is used for the same
reason.
Each room is air-conditioned and heated in winter from a central plant, and each has an ample number of electric outlets, telephone points, tele- vision outlets and service call buttons. Garbage disposal units are installed in the kitchen sinks.
Two high-speed passenger lifts of 700 f.p.m. serve all floors, as does a service lift of 700 f.p.m.; this lift also opens directly on to the swimming pool level for the privacy of bathers.

The site formation and foundation contract was awarded to Gammon (HK) Ltd., through a tender system. Then, in order to achieve early com-
