Top left: A Den by Ernest Korneld. This room is designed as "a quiet retreat for the man who regards himself as his own guest first". It is furnished with comfortable chairs, a sprinkling of Philippine antique items and a print grouping on the wall to add to the re- laxed environment.

Above: Hotel Suite by Antonio Zamora. White and lavender are the contrasting colours in this room which aims at "an uncluttered, im- maculate look". The carpet has lavender stripes and the furniture pieces are accentuat- ed by turquoise upholstery.

Left: Office Suite by Audrey Guersey. Using the best of Philippine woods, this room is aimed to suit "the quiet, sophisticated execu- tive". It is built around a bronze-finished canvas and features two colours, brown and black in many shades.

Below left: Dining Room by Lor Calma. In this room the designer employs rattan, Philip- pine wood and kapiz. The dining table and chairs in rattan are from the well-known Plat- ner design.

Right: One-Room Apartment by Willi Fernan- dez. This is built around the pes, a finely woven tapestry worn by the Tausug tribesmen of Jolo, Southern Philippines, as a turban or

as

large decorative handkerchief thrown over the left shoulder. Four pieces of this tapestry colours are magenta, black, green, blue and red are converted into a mural on one wall and the geometric pattern and colours are repeated in the wall-to-wall carpeting.
