Heavy-duty Machine Accepts Bulk Materials

THE chute hopper of the heavy duty 3 h.p. Wastrel 1203 waste dis- poser is easily fed with bulk materials, and there is no risk of them splashing back or of the interior of the ma- chine being exposed while it is run- ning. Access to the interior is obtain- ed by opening a safety guard and thereby breaking the circuit.

The 3-phase motor, which also acts as the base of the machine, has cast-

which incorporates the feet. The top end-shield comprises the grinding chamber, which contains a toothed cutter ring of high-alloy stainless iron.

The aluminium-alloy chute hopper located above the chamber incorpor- ates the starter and all the water con- trol gear, including a syphon breaker.

Model 1203 needs a 1⁄2 in. cold- water supply and a 21⁄2 in. waste out- let connection, and may be built into tabling at various heights by the addi- tion of a stainless-steel hopper rim.

SPRAY PLANT

Portable Unit Needs No Power Supply

COMPACTLY built into a rugged frame that combines the functions of protective guard and carrying handle, the petrol-driven Burgess PE 446 portable spray plant is particularly useful on sites with no power sources.

Measuring 19% in. long, 16 in. wide and 16 in. high overall, and weighing 39 lb., the PE 446 has a 75 c.c. 4-stroke engine, a diaphragm- type compressor, and a 2 pt. capacity spray gun, which fits into the frame for carrying. It is fitted with a standard 15 ft. air hose, and will spray oil-bound paints, distempers and enamels.

PUMP VALVE

Cheaper Unit Cannot be Tampered With

THE gate valve used on each side of an accelerator pump can now be replaced by a smaller and cheaper valve invented by Advance Engineer- ing Ltd.. Whytecliffe Road, Purley, Surrey, UK.

The positive sealing of the valve is inside the top nut where a gasket is located. To prevent water seepage during adjustments there is also an O-ring located inside the valve on the spindle.

Placed one on each side of the pump, the valves are made in 1 in, 3⁄44 in. and 1⁄2 in. diameters. The makers are not represented in S.E. Asia,

PLASTIC PUTTY

Plastic putty is a modern epoxy resin com-

pound ideal for home and industrial use. The Compound comes in two sticks which blend

together easily to form a hard, strong, putty with high electrical insulation qualities and

exceptional resistance to oil, spirits, water,

dilute acids etc. It can be machined, drilled and tapped without difficulty.

CCL GROUT ADDITIVE is basically an ex- pander consisting of a mixture of aluminium powder and silica and is designed specifically to improve the placing, quality and efficiency of grouting prestressed concrete ducts. This material has been specially devised by CCL for prestressed concrete work and is not to be confused with other cement additives which, in the main, are not suitable.
